What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift can also raise droopy eyebrows and improve the vertical lines that develop between the eyes due to frowning or facial expressions. A brow lift repositions the underlying muscles in the forehead and trims away excess tissue that can cause deep wrinkles or sagging. A brow lift in Tampa is often combined with other procedures, such as a facelift or eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

How Can I Benefit From A Brow Lift

A brow lift can provide many benefits for a patient, but it is important to set realistic goals and expectations for the outcome of the procedure. If you’ve tried dermal fillers or neurotoxins (such as Botox) but still struggle with deep wrinkles or loose skin on the forehead, a brow lift may benefit you. A brow lift surgically tightens the forehead skin and can target that sagging skin that can start to droop over the brow ridge.

In addition to targeting wrinkles, a brow lift can also:

  • Raise the eyebrows, providing a more youthful appearance and making you look more awake
  • Tighten loose skin that may have started to droop over the brow
  • Smooth out the vertical crease between eyebrows
  • Provide long term results, up to 10-15 years after just one procedure

If you think you’re ready to experience the benefits of a brow lift, we suggest you schedule a consultation with Dr. Buchanan to discuss the possibility of a brow lift and the many added benefits it could bring to your life.

What Will My Recovery Look Like?

Recovery from a brow lift in Tampa will vary from patient to patient depending on if it was combined with any other procedures. You can expect your forehead to be taped and bandaged when you depart from the surgical facility. Some patients may have a thin tube in place to drain excess blood or fluid that can collect under the skin. The drains are typically removed after 24 to 48 hours. We usually suggest a minimum of one week off of work in order to rest and heal. If your brow lift was combined with another procedure, such as eyelid surgery, you should allow for more time off. During this time of healing, it is normal to experience swelling, bruising, itching and even some numbness in the forehead area. These symptoms will usually diminish within the first two weeks of post-operative recovery and can be mitigated with cold compresses and medication prescribed by Dr. Buchanan prior to your surgery.

How Long Will My Results Last?

Most patients have visible results immediately following surgery. Swelling can take several months to subside, but incision lines eventually fade over time, and patients will be left with a smooth, tightened forehead and eyebrow area that can last up to 10-15 years with proper care and maintenance. In order to prolong your results, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and daily practices to delay the natural aging process. Proper sun protection, a daily skincare regimen, and diet and exercise are all lifestyle habits that help keep signs of aging at bay.

HOW MUCH WILL A BROW LIFT COST? Prices starting at $9,000

The cost of a brow lift in Tampa can vary significantly depending on the complexity of the case. Unfortunately, health insurance does not cover browlift surgery as it is a cosmetic procedure.

It's important to note that the total cost of the procedure may include:

  • Anesthesia fees
  • Operating room costs
  • Compression garments for post-surgery
  • Surgeon fees
  • Other miscellaneous fees

Additionally, there may be additional costs for:

  • Blood tests
  • Other pre-operative testing
  • Medical clearance exams
  • Prescription medications

The cost of the procedure can also be affected by factors such as:

  • The surgeon's level of experience and reputation
  • The techniques used for the procedure
  • The location of the surgeon's practice

If you are worried about the financial aspect of a brow lift, you can speak to Dr. Buchanan or a member of the VIVIFY staff about financing options. They work hard to provide financing plans to help you achieve your surgical goals.
