What Is Skintyte?

SkinTyte uses infrared light energy to penetrate deep into the skin, heating the dermal layer and stimulating collagen production. SkinTyte can be used on a variety of areas, including the face, neck, chest, arms, and abdomen. Whether you're looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, tighten loose skin, or improve skin texture and tone, our SkinTyte treatment in Tampa can help you achieve your goals.

How It Works

Collagen is a protein in your skin, bones, and connective tissues. It provides structure and support to your skin, keeping it smooth and firm. Our bodies produce less collagen as we age, leading to sagging skin and wrinkles. Skintyte works by stimulating the production of new collagen in your skin. The infrared light energy heats up the deep layers of your skin, which triggers the production of new collagen. Over time, this new collagen helps to tighten and firm your skin while reducing the appearance of sagging skin and wrinkles. The SkinTyte treatment is safe, effective, and virtually painless, with no downtime required. In fact, many patients find the treatment to be relaxing and enjoyable.

What to Expect

Numbing is not typically required for this procedure.  The treatment area will be cleaned, and a cooling gel will be applied. This gel helps to protect the skin and also enhances the effectiveness of infrared light energy.

During the Skintyte treatment, a hand-held device will be used to deliver infrared light energy to the treatment area. This energy will heat the deeper layers of your skin, stimulating collagen production and causing the skin to tighten and firm over time. The treatment typically takes around 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Skin tightening effects can occur several months post-treatment series.

You may feel a warming sensation throughout the procedure, but it should not be painful. After the treatment, you may experience mild swelling and redness, but this typically subsides within a few hours. You will be able to resume your normal activities immediately following the procedure, with the exception of direct sun exposure or strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Most people need several treatments to achieve results. Treatments can be performed every 2-4 weeks.

Who Is a Candidate for SkinTyte?

If you are looking for a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment to tighten and firm your skin, Skintyte may be right for you. This treatment is ideal for patients experiencing mild levels of skin laxity and wanting to improve the appearance of sagging skin non-surgically. Skintyte is effective for both men and women of all skin types and colors. It can be used on many parts of the body, including the face, neck, stomach, arms, and thighs. Skintyte may be used post-liposuction or other surgical procedures to maximize results and expedite the healing process.

The best candidates for Skintyte are those who have good overall health. Skintyte is not a weight loss solution or a replacement for surgery, but it can provide noticeable improvement in skin laxity and help you achieve a more youthful appearance. If you are pregnant, use a pacemaker or other implanted device, or have an active infection or skin condition in the treatment area, you may not be a good candidate for Skintyte. It is important to discuss your medical history and any concerns with Michelle during your consultation.
